Sexual harassment can manifest in various ways, often causing stress, distress, and confusion. As explained on the website of the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel: "Sexual assault is sexual behavior or a sexual act forced upon a person or child without their consent, against their free will and volition. Alternatively, when the behavior/act takes advantage of power inequalities, weakness, or age or vulnerability in a way that destroys the victim's ability to provide consent freely. Sexual assault can be committed by an adult or minor. Sexual assault is an act of violence that the attacker uses against someone they perceive as less powerful than them. The assault does not come from an uncontrollable sex drive, but rather it is a crime committed deliberately with the goal of controlling and humiliating the victim."

You can also contact the Commission for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Tel Aviv University for advice.
Please note that in the event that the Commission is under the impression that sexual harassment has occurred, but you do not want to file a complaint, they are required by law to act and investigate the case of harassment, even if you did not file a complaint.
What can I do if I was sexually harassed at work?
You have several options if you have experienced sexual harassment: you can choose to contact the police, file a civil compensation claim at the Labor Court, or file a complaint with the Commission for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the University. You can pursue any or all of these options simultaneously.
It's important to know that the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel provides long-term support and assistance to victims, including help navigating available services and physical accompaniment to appointments with different institutions and authorities.
In addition, the Committee for Prevention of Sexual and Gender Harassment and the Academia for Equality offer support both on and off-campus, including assistance with work or studies at Tel Aviv University in the aftermath of sexual harassment.
